Adaptec Raid Controller
We hook it up, the card's BIOS is there, sees our drives and create arrays, in Windows the program works, sees our drives, seems to work. But for some reason we can't take a hard drive with an existing NTFS file system to show up in Windows? In the 'My Computer', the hard drives do not show up, they are only apparent in the Storage Manager program the card uses. It gives you an option to format and initialize.. but it does not mention JBOD anywhere. I have a Highpoint Rocketraid 2340 and after we put the driver in, the cards would start showing up. It looks like the Adaptec expects you to make a RAID of some sort, we just want to use this to add 16 individual hard drives!
Anyone have a card like this who can help me out?
Thanks!
