Well, I decided against the bios upgrade and chose to just install drivers – downloaded the signed vista x64 drivers from adaptec and guess what – no banana, Se7en just said that it couldn’t find any signed drivers and I refuse to go back and tit around with floppy drives and discs So anyway, I decided to use the second sata controller on the asus mainboard to run a drive for backups and other stuff so that it’s away from the intel controller where all the other discs are.
